Introduction

Health Initiative for All (HIFA)

Health Initiative for All (HIFA) is a local and independent registered non-governmental and nonprofit organization with its headquarters based in Lilongwe, Malawi. HIFA’s prime motto is empowerment of youth and women through capacity building and protection of their rights, and other deprived and marginalized people of society through reduction of health risks, social protection, and health education.

Healthy, protected and educated youth, women and society that contribute fully to their health status and socio-economic development within their communities in Malawi.
To unleash sustainable health and development using value systems and rights-based approaches through innovation, advocacy, and capacity strengthening of community structures for sexual reproductive health services, prevention of non-communicable diseases, education, social protection and economic empowerment of youth and women.

HIFA provides project evaluations, digital data collection, policy development, and capacity building in areas like WASH, SRHR, and public health, using evidence-based research and monitoring approaches.

We work with organizations like the World Bank, UNICEF(United Nations Children's Fund), USAID(United States Agency for International Development), SIDA(Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency), and various Malawian government entities, providing consulting services across multiple sectors

We utilise mixed methods, including OECD-DAC criteria, for comprehensive project evaluations to assess effectiveness and inform improvements for future programs.

We utilise platforms like Open Data Kit (ODK), KOBO Collect, and Survey CTO for efficient and secure mobile and digital data capture in field assessments
